Rawwater Founder and Managing Director
The inventor of the Bismuth Plug, Bob has worked with bismuth alloy seals for almost 30 years. Bob serves as a technology developer for the oil industry, with activity in the exploitation of innovative technologies for Shell International and BP. Before establishing Rawwater, he worked at UMIST (University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology), developing technologies in explosive cutting and cladding, corrosion, subsea engineering and well technology. Bob’s oilfield technologies include subsea reservoir injection systems, bismuth alloy well-sealing and forecasting tools for oilfield reservoir souring.

Leanne Walker
Senior Project Officer
Leanne is a senior member of our oilfield souring services team. Her work involves researching the reservoir conditions that support and inhibit the growth of souring bacteria, as well as treatment strategies. It is conducted on behalf of the major oil & gas operators and service companies, and presented internationally. A vastly experienced microbiologist, Leanne runs our pressurised bioreactor suites and our DynamicTVS© predictive reservoir souring program with fellow Senior Project Officer, Matt Streets.

Matt’s expertise lies in understanding and managing problems associated with microbiological biofouling in the upstream oil & gas industry. A regular speaker at key industry events, his areas of interest include oilfield reservoir souring, souring remediation and control, laboratory-based oilfield microbiology simulation studies, and oilfield reservoir souring forecasting and modelling. As a highly respected microbiologist, Matt is acutely aware of the importance of providing cost-effective treatment strategies to mitigate oilfield souring.

Senior Project Delivery Officer
Martin heads up our well integrity and metals seals and encapsulation teams. His work includes overseeing the advancement of our high integrity bismuth alloys for oilfield plugging & abandonment and research into well and pipework systems integrity. He is also leading the development of our Molten Metal Manipulation (M3) programme – a range of new alloys and application techniques to provide tenacious, reversible metal seals for the nuclear industry, defence, various process industries, humanitarian aid and a range of other sectors.

Before joining Rawwater, Nicola worked as Logistics and Manufacturing Manager for a leading exhaust systems supplier. A specialist in quality production systems and techniques, Nicola uses her considerable knowledge to assist in the development and commercialisation of a number of Rawwater technologies, including our Molten Metal Manipulation (M3) programme.

Previously an account director with the UK's National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL), Kat heads up Rawwater Applied Technology. A new company within the Rawwater Group, Rawwater Applied Technology has been established to further exploit our specialist alloy seals and application techniques for use in nuclear decommissioning and other high-risk industrial sectors. Having worked with organisations from around the globe on a range of waste management and decommissioning activities, Kat offers a unique perspective into the requirements of those involved in the nuclear sector and the challenges they face.
