Rawwater Engineering Company Ltd / Rawwater Appoints Transafrique as Agent for Souring Services in Nigeria

We are pleased to announce that we have appointed Transafrique Logistic Services Ltd of Port Harcourt as our official agent for oilfield reservoir souring forecasting and simulation services in Nigeria.

“Transafrique offers many years of expertise in procurement, logistics and marine services for oil & gas customers across Nigeria,” comments Rawwater’s Senior Research Scientist and Head of Division, Matt Streets. “In becoming an agent for Rawwater, the business will now be able to provide its customer base with direct access to our world-leading oilfield reservoir souring and simulation technologies.

“These include DynamicTVS©, our advanced oilfield souring forecasting modelling software and our pressurised bioreactor laboratories, where native crude oil is subjected to the pressure and temperature conditions that are found downhole, in order to confirm whether or not those conditions will enable sufficient levels of sulfate-reducing microorganisms (SRM) to flourish and problematic levels of hydrogen sulfide to occur. Our technologies enable the earliest possible forecasting of an oil reservoir’s ability to sour, therefore providing the opportunity for highly cost-effective treatment strategies to be put in place.”
